For the mascarpone cream:
- 100 g sugar
- 100g cream
- 500g mascarpone
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the tiramisu layers:
- 200 g ladyfingers ( Savoiardi )
- 1-2 tbsp matcha powder (for dusting)
- Optional: 75-100g strawberries (thinly sliced)
Preparation:
First, prepare the matcha. Sift the powder into a bowl to avoid lumps. Then pour the hot water over the matcha powder and stir well. Once it has dissolved, you can let the mixture cool.
First, prepare the mascarpone cream: Mix the mascarpone with the sugar in a large bowl and add the vanilla extract. Mix everything until you get a smooth cream. Then, in a separate bowl, whip the cream until stiff. Then carefully fold the cream into the mascarpone cream until everything is well mixed.
Optional: Wash your strawberries and remove the stems. Then use a small utility knife to cut the strawberries into thin slices. These are then layered into the tiramisu and give the tiramisu a fresh red splash of color in addition to the bright green of the matcha. We use the MARBLE utility knife for this. The MARBLE series fits perfectly in the hand thanks to its slightly heavy handle. The damask knives also have unique handles thanks to the marble and bring individuality to the kitchen. The MARBLE series gives every kitchen a touch of natural elegance.
Now layer your tiramisu. Dip the ladyfingers into the cooled Matcha potion and place a layer in the mold. Make sure that Do not soak the ladyfingers for too long so that they do not become too soft and keep their shape. Now spread half of the mascarpone cream evenly over the soaked ladyfingers. Just put your strawberries over the mascarpone cream. If you want, keep a few slices for decoration. Repeat the process with another layer of soaked ladyfingers and the remaining mascarpone cream.
Generously dust the top layer of the mascarpone cream with matcha powder. You can use a fine sieve to get an even layer. Place the remaining strawberry slices decoratively on top of your tiramisu. Now cover it and put it in the fridge for at least four hours, or overnight, to let it soak in.
If you want, you can dust it with a little more matcha powder before serving. If you don't want to cut the tiramisu, you can also layer it directly in small bowls or glasses and then serve.
Enjoy your homemade matcha tiramisu, a perfect combination of Japanese and Italian delights!
